Welcome to NoTraffic.org! It's the Web community for global change. Wherever you live, wherever you are – irregardless of country and city – it affects you too.
If you have a job you commute to-and-from everyday, but know you could do it just as well (and maybe even better in the virtual world), you should care about NoTraffic.org because it could improve your job satisfaction and your job performance. Wouldn’t that make your boss happy? It could even make a dramatic improvement in your personal quality of life. It could give you substantially more time to use as you choose instead of sitting in traffic.
If you have a job requiring you to be at a specific work place everyday, and you have to commute to-and-from it, you should especially care about NoTraffic.org. Just imagine if during your daily commute the majority of people in front of you just weren’t there anymore because they started telecommuting.
If you have a job you have to be at (e.g., construction worker, doctors/nurses at a hospital, attorneys, etc.), you know a substantial portion of the people in front of you could be potential, daily telecommuters (or even occasional/frequent telecommuters).
If all those “potential” telecommuters suddenly were telecommuting, just imagine how many people wouldn’t slow you down on your daily commute. If anyone should want fewer commuters on the road to make your life easier, it’s people with jobs who must be physically there.
Just as important, consider the probability you might have a fender bender or worse because of all the traffic you now have to negotiate. But if they weren’t there, you’d be that much safer everyday. Even just a small percentage of numbers add up! If everyone who can telecommute would, not only would we have less traffic, your car would guzzle less gas and produce less green house gasses; a win/win all the way around!
Once a member, you can start posting messages on our bulletin board and be a key driver of the political pressure we will bring to bear on the decision makers where it counts. State your opinions, thoughts, ideas for implementing simple, elegant solutions for removing unnecessary traffic from our highways, and put pressure on our politicians to enact the appropriate measures to make it happen.

This is a multi-partisan opportunity to make a big difference in the world and a critical difference with everyone else who uses the highway. No one disputes that less traffic on our highways means less time you waste sitting in traffic, and the more time you have to do the things that mean the most to you, like being with your family.
We will impact government policy; not only in one country but globally. Reducing traffic and implementing solutions that work in specific locations is going to be implemented in various way by different governments. But the bottom line is still the same: We want governments to give tax credits to every employer for every employee they allow to telecommute!
